THE COLOR OF THE YEAR! ALL I CAN SAY IT "REALLY?????"

Posh Places

AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT THINKS THE COLOR OF THE YEAR

                                                MARSALA

                                          IS HIDEOUS??????????

I feel like the person at panton that selected this color should have a Tonya Harding pulled on their knee caaps.  Ther clothing designers have all wisly decided to morph this color into more attractive colors for you to wear.  Susan, Lori, Renee, and Isaac are addin more blue to change it into a nice shade of plum, or they are adding red to get a pretty shade of wine or burgandy, but would the real Mr. Marsala PLEASE SHOW YOUR FACE……………….

Yes ladies and gentlemen, it is the color of UNCOOKED LIVER!!!!!!!

The only way marsala is good is in a gravy drizzled over a great steak and accompanied with a cabernet sauvignon!

Some of you may already know that i am an interior designer, I am going to the largest furniture market in the USA in three weeks and i guarantee you that this color is going to be crammed down our throats. So people, before you burn up your credit cards buying your uncooked liver colored drapery, and your uncooked liver colored comforters, please let me see what and how they are using this color at market. If anyone can pull this horrible color into an attractive room setting it will be Century Furniture or Bernhardt Furniture.  I will post the pictures if I see anything remotely attractive where this color is used as the main color in the room and not just an accent pillow.

I am sure we are going to see this color coupled with harvest gold, avocado green and butterscothc.  Which is what we saw in the early 90’s, but they were using abergine at thet time.  It's such a beautiful color.

I personally would work this color in with a nice indigo blue and putty if i had a crazy client demanding me use this as the main color in a room.

I wholeheartedly sand by this statement.
